Braxton Dunaway wins $288,064 and his second WSOP bracelet
Braxton Dunaway became the winner of Event #26: $2,000 No-Limit Hold’em at the 2026 World Series of Poker. The American beat Erwann Pecheux heads-up and took home $288,064, claiming the second WSOP bracelet of his career.
The tournament drew 968 entries, with a prize pool of $1,723,040. Dunaway started day three third in chips among the 12 remaining players. He himself described the final stage as a "roller coaster."
Dunaway is known for his third-place finish at the 2025 WSOP Main Event, where he earned $4,000,000. He won his first bracelet in 2023 in the $1,500 Monster Stack tournament. As for Pecheux, this was the second time in his career he came up just short of a gold bracelet — back in 2015 he also finished second.
