Dong Chen wins the $10K Limit Hold'em Championship at the WSOP
Chinese player Dong Chen became the winner of the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship at the 2026 WSOP, taking home $285,200 in prize money. In the heads-up he defeated Briton Benny Glaser, who was left without his ninth bracelet.
The heads-up lasted a little over 30 minutes — Chen seized the lead at the start and never let it go to the end. The final three also included Jeremy Ausmus, who finished third for $130,380. Glaser, who led at the final table for most of the game, gave up the chip lead to Chen back at the 3-handed stage.
For Chen this is his second bracelet in his career and his first in limit hold'em. Notably, an aggressive style with frequent 3-bets and 4-bets became his key strategy against the more experienced final table.
The tournament's outcome added some color to the $25K Fantasy fantasy draft: Chen's best friend Tony "Ren" Lin planned to pick the player for $1, but Daniel Negreanu outbid him to $4 and took the champion onto his team. After the win, Chen smilingly valued himself at $5–7, but Lin named a figure of $30 with the prospect of up to $50 next year.
