Will Kassouf to play the World Series after his ban
British regular Will Kassouf will play the 2026 World Series of Poker. The player told PokerNews that after last year's disqualification he stayed in contact with the WSOP and received permission to take part in the series' events worldwide.
"I'll be in Vegas from late June to mid-July, that is, the last three weeks of the series," Kassouf said.
Recall that in 2025 Kassouf made it to 33rd place in the WSOP Main Event. Over the course of the tournament a 10-second clock was regularly called on him for systematically stalling. And after busting, Kassouf caused a scene and told his opponents: "I'll remember your faces. I'll see each of you next year. I'll deal with every one of you." The Brit continued his row with WSOP Vice President Jack Effel, and then security escorted him off the casino grounds. The WSOP subsequently banned him from participating in all events through the end of 2025.
However, after busting from the Main, Kassouf claimed he made the scene in response to how he had been treated: "Every story has two sides. I didn't deliberately come out with aggression, insults, and hatred toward people at the table. I was only reacting to how I was being treated."
