Record Triton $200K field: finalists to play for $6.37M
At the Triton Super High Roller Series in Montenegro, the second day of the $200,000 Triton Invitational has wrapped up after more than 14 hours. A record field of 137 entries created a prize pool of $27.4M. The winner will take home $6.37M, and another six finalists have locked up seven-figure payouts.
The chip leader heading into the final day is Maher Nouira with 9.9M chips (66 BB). Among the 12 remaining players are two from the CIS:
Ilya Nikiforov (11th in chips, 1.25M) and Aleksey Lozyuk (12th, 1.1M). Both have locked up a minimum of $466,000.
Players who busted during the day include Jason Koon, Paul Phua, Alex Foxen, Dan Smith, Kristen Foxen and Rui Cao.
🟣The scale of the competition is underscored by the fact that seven players made 3 entries of $200,000 each. Of them, Lozyuk is one of two members of the Russian-speaking community still left in the game.
