Britney Jing removed from the Hustler Casino Live stream
Britney Jing was removed from a special Hustler Casino Live broadcast that took place as part of the WSOP at the Paris casino. The reason for the
financial control department's intervention was that she bought chips with cash instead of a bank transfer.
Initially, the cashier staff approved Britney's participation after she provided a receipt from another casino. However, after she lost several large hands, the compliance officer ordered her chips to be removed from the table immediately and suspended her from play pending a full background and source-of-funds check. Commentators Alan Keating and Brent Hanks chose not to explain the situation on air: the broadcast switched to a promo screen for a minute, and the game resumed without Britney.
Earlier, Andrew Moreno found himself in a similar situation:
"I came to the WSOP looking forward to playing, but they refused to accept my money. They asked where it came from — I said I won it in a tournament at Aria. They told me poker winnings can't be used to deposit into an account! I brought a large sum in cash, but the supervisor said it was a gaming security issue.
In the end I missed yesterday. Now I'm supposed to go to the bank for a check? Absolutely inconsistent rules — that's the WSOP for you. I'm not surprised!"
