Joey Couden wins $254,470 in the $3K 9-Game Mix at the 2026 WSOP
American Joey Couden became the winner of the $3,000 Nine Game Mix at the 2026 WSOP in Las Vegas. He defeated Shaun Deeb heads-up and won $254,470. The tournament drew a record 472 entries, with a prize pool exceeding $1.26 million.
The heads-up lasted three and a half hours. Deeb entered the final stage as chip leader with a two-to-one chip advantage, but the lead changed hands from player to player several times.
The key hand took place in Stud — Couden won a big pot and then left his opponent with no chips. For Deeb this was his 17th heads-up in bracelet events and a missed opportunity to claim a ninth bracelet.
