Adrian Mateos won $6.37M at the Triton Invitational
We're wrapping up the recently published story with the final-table resolution.
Spanish pro Adrian Mateos won the $200K Triton Invitational in Montenegro, taking home $6.37 million in prize money. This is the biggest result in the 31-year-old player's career and his third Triton series title.
Mateos boosted his career earnings to $60 million. According to him, the Invitational format, which brings together pros and invited players, requires constant strategy adaptation, which, in his view, is a perfect fit for his playing style.
On the final day, the Spaniard was on the brink of elimination several times but won key hands, including a save on the river with an ace.
The tournament was the largest Invitational in Triton's history, both in number of entrants and in the payout to the winner. The previous record belonged to tournaments in the Bahamas and Montenegro in 2025.
Drop a 🔥 if you're happy for the Spaniard but have "bag $6 million someday" written down in your life plans.
