Artur Martirosyan becomes the bubble boy of the $100K High Roller WSOP after his aces get cracked twice
Russian high roller Artur Martirosyan busted on the bubble of the WSOP $100,000 High Roller, missing out on a guaranteed $201,754 payout. His pocket aces got cracked twice within a few hands on the bubble.
In the first hand, Christopher Nguyen got it in with K♠️Q♠️ against Martirosyan's A♠️A♣️. A queen came on the river, giving Nguyen two pair and leaving the Russian short-stacked.
A few hands later, Teun Mulder with J♠️10♠️ called Martirosyan's all-in, who once again held A♥️A♣️. A straight completed on the river — Martirosyan exited the tournament in 19th place.
Just three days earlier, Martirosyan won the $25,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em tournament, taking home $1,286,285 and his fourth career WSOP bracelet. The Russian was vying for his second title in a week.
