Player with dwarfism wins a WSOP trip through a selection process of 40,000 participants
Dutch player Robert van Twillert, known by the nickname "The Little Dutch Guy", qualified for the WSOP 2026 through the ONK Poker satellite series, which had a combined total of more than 40,000 entrants. He joined the team sent to Las Vegas and had a standout first week of the series.
Van Twillert, who stands 106 cm tall, cashed twice at the WSOP. He finished 307th in Event #1: $550 Mini Mystery Millions for $2,160 and came in second in the Daily Deepstack, earning a larger payout. During the first week he also won several daily prizes from WSOP LIVE for the most popular posts.
In Las Vegas he managed to meet 17-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth, and Martin Kabrhel greeted him with a fist bump. The trip was van Twillert's first time traveling outside Europe.
