Calvin Anderson becomes the first player in history to win the $10,000 Razz Championship twice
Calvin Anderson set a unique record at the World Series of Poker. The American regular became the first-ever two-time winner of the $10,000 buy-in Razz Championship. The 38-year-old player first claimed this title in 2018. This time the event drew a record 155 entries, and Anderson took home $357,026 — the largest prize in the history of the event at the WSOP.
Calvin Anderson led the chipcount after day one and day two, but briefly lost the lead during the final day. However, he entered heads-up against Eric Rodawig with a two-to-one chip advantage. Anderson didn't let his opponent close the gap and claimed his sixth WSOP bracelet of his career. Rodawig earned $237,851 for second place.
Anderson became the 27th player in history to win six bracelets, tying in number of titles with the likes of Kristen Foxen and Adrián Mateos. In addition, the American surpassed Phil Hellmuth to become the all-time WSOP earnings leader in Razz tournaments, with total winnings of $759,280.
