Michelle Chin becomes the first woman in 11 years to win a mixed event at the WSOP
Michelle Chin won the $1500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw with 657 entries and claimed the first bracelet of her career. The American player became the second woman to win an open event at the 2026 WSOP after Kristen Foxen, and the first to win a mixed tournament since 2015. 11 years ago Carol Fuchs won the $1500 Dealers Choice 6-Handed.
Heads-up against Daniel Strelitz, Michelle Chin started with almost a fivefold chip deficit. However, the player rapidly closed the gap and then pulled ahead. In the decisive hand Chin made 8-7-5-4-2, while Strelitz, in addition to 8-7-4, caught two threes and lost his last chips. The two-time WSOP champion earned $107,504 for second place, and Michelle Chin took home $161,313. Notably, third place went to Horacio Chavez, who achieved Paraguay's best result at the World Series.
